A Small Business That Skyrocketed In The United States on Saturday 27 November
It's the first-ever Small Business Saturday on November 27, 2010. Currently a top Google trend, American Express is hoping that this shopping day will bring business to local businesses and is offering a $25 credit for customers who use their AMEX card at participating businesses.
The Facebook page for Small Business Saturday also notes that they will donate $1 to Girls, Inc every time someone "likes" their page.
If you're an American Express cardholder, here is how you become eligible for the $25 AMEX credit:
You must register your eligible American Express Card athttp://www.smallbusinesssaturday.com/enroll between November 8, 2010 and November 27, 2010 to get the $25 credit. Using your registered American Express Card, you must spend $25 or more at participating small business merchants on 11/27/2010 to receive the $25 statement credit.
CBS Moneywatch has reported that the offer is limited to the first 100,000 people to register their cards, so register your card before everyone else does.
